In this tutorial you will learn how to gradually change text color by time with flash. You can use them in presentation, banner.
Let's have a look at what we will create:
Step 1: Open a new flash document then go to Insert>New Symbol and name this symbol "Text", choose Graphic type
Step 2: Select Text tool on the left toolbar, in the Text properties set a big text size (I used 52 pixels), turn on Bold and select an appropriate font-type. Then click on your document and type "Change text color"
Step 3: Click on Edit Scene and select Scene 1 to switch to Scene 1, notice that our text disappeared
Step 4: Go to Window>Library (Ctrl-L) to bring up the Library panel with a "Text" asset inside it
Step 5: Drag and drop it onto your document, your text will be placed on the frame 1 by default. In the Timeline panel, right click on frame 50 and select Insert Keyframe or press F6 to place a new keyframe on frame 50. We will make our text change color from frame 0 to frame 50
After this step, you will notice that frame 0 to frame 50 turned to be gray
Step 6: Right click on any place from frame 0 to frame 50 and select Create Motion Tween. A solid arrow will be added to your frames
Step 7: Click on frame 25 and press F6 to place a new keyframe on it. Open Properties panel when this frame is still selected (press Ctrl-F3 if it is disable). Click on the text to select it, in the Color drop-down box of the Properties panel select Tint, set Red as its color and set Tint Amount to 100%
Step 8: Click on frame 50 and repeat step 7 again but set Blue as its color
To see your result, go to Control>Test Movie or press Ctrl-Enter.
